Localizer reduced the localisation time to under 3 minutes, and reduces the resolution time by ~50%.
Maximizing Capabilities: Digital Integration of FSI, PPI, and FCG in SICAM Localizer
Solving the pain points
The SICAM Localizer, a cloud-based solution, significantly improved fault management by providing real-time fault detection and reporting directly to maintenance crews1. This advancement allowed for quicker response times and more efficient management of power grid faults.

Only onsite configuration was possible
Before the introduction of the SICAM Localizer, fault localization in power grids was more challenging and less efficient Traditional methods.
Onsite Configuration: Time-consuming and error-prone, especially in remote areas, leading to setup delays and potential issues.
Manual Inspections: Labor-intensive and prone to human error, causing delays in fault detection and resolution.
Less Sophisticated Monitoring Systems: Lack of real-time data and automated alerts, resulting in longer downtimes and higher maintenance costs.

Overall
Minor fixes done on device onboarding flows of the FPI and FSI devices.
Device Heirarchy flows deprioritised
Due to the complexity of the Set hierarchy flows for arranging FSI and PFI devices from the Parent Node along the feeder line, the hierarchy was designed to be added directly using alternative feasible methods through a configuration file with pre-configured hierarchy details.
Overhead Line Fault Management: the watchful guardian
Dashboard & Asset details
Fault-Prone Zones are areas in the power grid more susceptible to issues due to factors like extreme weather, aging infrastructure, and high demand. The
Asset Details Page provides comprehensive information on each asset, including identification, real-time condition monitoring, maintenance history, and lifecycle details, enabling efficient management and reduced downtime.

Asset Configuration
FSI (Fault Sensor Indicator) is an integral part of the SICAM Localizer system. It detects phase and ground faults on medium-voltage overhead lines. The FSI indicates faults via LED flashing or communicates fault information through the SICAM Fault Collector Gateway (FCG).
FPI (Fault Passage Indicator) configuration involves installing devices on overhead lines or substations to detect faults, with options for local or remote communication and adjustable sensitivity settings.
